For a long time CRBJ was caught in the same patern as other companies teaching workshops to individuals and small groups ( máximum of 6-8 upon request ). Most of the teachings were base on field experience on how to approach the targets, light conditions, camera settings and other basic aspects of photography yet CRBJ staffd notice that many companies offer workshops in control environments such as bird feedaters, hides, blinds etc. And it seem to work for them with quite large groups and doing well. BUT while watching some of those groups noticed one single thing.. All their photos were identical… It was then when CRBJ had this huge need to express in order to make a significant difference in services to all of you. Its understandable that we all want a great photo of a Toucan or a Quetzal of flight etc; they are great looking birds no doubt, so CRBJ spend a great amount of time thinking how can CRBJ be different and maybe better at delivering what you all wish but without falling into being another one of the bunch doing the same old.
So CRBJ would like to introduce you our new Photography Journeys, base on the same techniques of image control, mastering your camera settings, the right light, ISO, etc but looking a beat deeper onto the creative aspect of the photo, a beat more like a combination of an artistic approach and wild behavior characteristic of the rainforest creatures. So CRBJ have created itineraries that tell a story, that will leave a message and capture astonning images worth a thousand words.
Costa Rica its a tropical gem full of life in every corner of all its territory from the dusty and dry Guanacaste plains to the very humid evergreen rainforest of Tapanti, very few places on earth has so much to offer for a photographer whether its a professional or amateur. A nature hike can lead to great photos of lovely perch Jacamars near their nest to a pair of Ocelots taken down an iguana from a tree, its hard to guess where the best picture of your life will be capture but nonetheless every single moment would be preserve thru your lenses.
CRBJ has carefully created itineraries base on animal behavoir, climate and percentage of success. We had left very Little to the luck but we still always pray for those magical moments that can transform our images into unrivalled experience.
CRBJ also has selected few locations for control photography in order to practice certain techniques of behavioral photography very handy during nature walks.
ITS NOT ALL ABOUT BIRDS.
As a strange as its sounds Costa Rica with its incredible number of 900 + species offers a lot more to photograph although our main subject will always be our feathery friends, we consider to stay longer amount of days per destination in order to maximize each place and its amazing beauty.
